GNU/Linux Adoption Reaches All-Time Highs in Chile, statCounter Indicates
Both Steam Survey and statCounter, to name just two sources (there are more), show that GNU/Linux is rapidly growing.
This month marks 4 years since Vista 11 came out (as a fake "leak") and some surveys still measure its adoption at less than 40%. For comparison's sake, basing this on "OS Platform Statistics" in W3Schools, Windows XP was measured at around 70% 4 years past its release date.
Now, looking at Chile, a narrow and long country in South America, there's another record high for GNU/Linux and Vista 11 usage is measured as lower than Vista 10 this month.
Microsoft drowns in debt because the cost of a Windows licence is already "around $140 (around €130) or CAD 211 (around €144)", which is a lot less than it was 20 years ago. Adding advertisements everywhere in Windows won't help; it'll piss users off. █
