Microsoft is Apparently Sending Gag Orders or NDAs to Staff That Got Laid Off (“We were told not to post on LinkedIn. Not to say anything.”)
We don't want to link to the article above (52 minutes ago by Arfa Javaid) because it starts with lies. The main lies we keep seeing are that Microsoft:
- Invests in "AI" (it's shutting down or it gradually cancels existing datacentres)
- Is hiring for "AI" (it fires "AI" staff)
- Headcount is unchanged (very obvious lie [1, 2], this keeps coming from Microsoft media moles like Todd Bishop, sponsored by Microsoft [1, 2])
- Laid off about 15,000 people this year (it laid off about twice as many; there were almost 10 waves of layoffs, not 2)
However, the interesting part of the article says this:
US influencer Amanda Goodall claims that she has been receiving messages from the employees who the tech giant laid off.“Still getting messages about Microsoft layoffs,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter), before sharing an array of anonymous messages she received from the affected employees.
One message she received was: “We were told not to post on LinkedIn. Not to say anything.”
Another expressed, “I worked for Microsoft for 15+ years. My crime? Being over 55.”
