Currys PCWorld Hates GNU/Linux Even Though It Runs the World
Windows is down to just 22% this month in the UK, but British retailer Currys PCWorld demands that you use it (to exercise your rights as a consumer):
What their official site says:
Based on queries made to several members of staff, Currys PCWorld is even more 'allergic' to GNU/Linux than the above puts it. If you have a physical issue (not in any way related to GNU/Linux), then they expect you to remove your operating system (and files) to put Windows 'back' in, if that's feasible at all.
The goal here isn't to recommend any OEM or OEMs. We're just saying, if you need a laptop or desktop in the UK, then do not buy from Currys PCWorld. If more and more people choose to remove Windows, then Currys PCWorld will feel the financial impact of its dumb policies. █
