News Will Slow Down and Slop Will Contribute to the Slowdown
Many people book holidays and/or go on holiday this month. This means everything generally "slows down" (services and response times). This means that even "the news cycle" slows down. Many writers are taking time away (vacations abroad or staycations).
News will be exceptionally slow in the coming 2-3 weeks and since slop is drowning/flushing out the Web (mostly image slop and LLM slop) it's not clear how many people will return to writing at all. In recent years every time there was some holiday or major break the number people who "came back" shrank; in news sites that remained implemented the cuts in this way or this fashion. █
