Many Companies Are Run by Liars Who Ride Other People's Money

Or steal it

When sociopathic charlatans and pathological liars take over technical projects/companies - as happens a lot unfortunately - impending and sometimes imminent trouble is guaranteed. Nothing can stop that except prevention, i.e. obstructing recruitment of (or takeover by) such characters. We've seen a lot of this in relation to Microsoft and I saw that firsthand in a past employer (colleagues complained about the same characters and now there's a lawsuit).

Having just compared Microsoft CoreAI to the Microsoft-backed Builder.ai (which was a fraud, there was no "ai"), consider what sort of leadership led to whatever outcomes we saw. Many people lost a lot of money over it.

Builder.ai owes money to corporate spies and defamation lawyers

Quoting the above: "The Microsoft-backed start-up’s main US holding company filed for bankruptcy in Delaware on Monday, revealing unpaid bills and debts to a range of creditors, from key customers to big tech companies such as Amazon and Microsoft. The creditor list also included: Tel Aviv-based private intelligence firm Shibumi Strategy; top US litigation law firm Quinn Emanuel; and Sitrick Group, a Los Angeles-based public relations firm specialising in so-called “crisis communications”."

A lot of the flowery language disguises from what they all are: liars. As The ToryGraph put it: "At the heart of the allegation was a claim that Builder AI was far more reliant on humans than it let on. Holdheim claimed the company told investors apps were “80pc” built by a product it had “barely even begun to develop”. Instead, it relied heavily on contractors in India, according to court filings."

That sort of describes Microsoft as well; with all its fake "AI" nonsense. This company is a giant Ponzi scheme that borrows way too much money, pays its staff in "stock" (i.e. buys its own shares), and "invests" in clients (i.e. pays itself by circular financing so as to fake revenue). The crude reality is, the company is becoming irrelevant, but it infiltrates media organisations to prop up its own scams [1, 2]. How long for? Builder.ai couldn't keep up with the lies; then it started bullying those who had merely uttered the truth.
