Notes on an overheard conversation while at lunch with friends
“Could I please have a menu?”
“Wait! What? A menu?”
“Yes.”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“Oooookay … here you go.”
“Thank you.”
“Did Hell freeze over or something?”
“I just feel like having something different today.”

The Attraction of Back Alleys
Ever since I was a pre-teen, I've often gained an odd fascination for alleys. I'm not sure what about them draws me in, but it makes me wonder what goes on back there, and possibly, what hidden treasure may be lying in wait.
Perhaps it's watching cartoons of Top Cat that planted the seeds that would eventually grow into a fascination.

Initramfs
I just had a little system administration nightmare. It all started yesterday when I decided that I wasn't going to move the MNT Pocket Reform to Debian stable (Trixie) after all. I had changed the apt sources a while ago, pointing them at Trixie and yesterday I had them point back at unstable.

More issues with the Monopolistic Phone Company's “wireless service unit”
Day three of the “wireless service unit” and it's becoming clear why so many people are returning it [1]. Bunny's laptop seems to drop consistently from the network, and I can't figure out why it's happening. She needs to turn off Wi-Fi, then turn it back on again, and she can use the Internet for some random period of time.
