The Register MS Needs to Stop Participating in the "Hey Hi" (AI) Hype, But It Gets Paid to Participate in This Hype
It actively helps this Ponzi scheme; Follow the money...
Last night we said that, judging by the front page, The Register MS had 80% "sponsored" articles about (for) Ponzi and 20% for banned Chinese technology. That was based on a grand total of 5 sponsored 'pieces' (plugs), but this morning we see half a dozen. The new addition is more "AI" fluff:
There is also a conflict of interest of sorts... they should know better.
Consider the simple fast that The Register MS takes MONEY from those DDoS-causing companies... to relay lies for them and help them get MOAR [sic] funding - a problem that the editors are clearly aware of. They cannot simply pretend to be unaware of what they really do.
Putting it crudely and honestly, the publisher (The Register MS) wants to have it both ways: it gets to complain about the very thing that is funding itself. If it had principles, it would 1) stop participating in the hype; 2) reject that money. █
