Game design anxieties
It was the end of the work week and I had submitted a new level to the lead designer for review.
But, now I had to wait for the feedback. The worst part of the job is the wait to hear what people think of your work.
So, of course my imposter syndrome kicked in.
My plan, as usual, was to tell myself that I'd been doing this for a long time and that my experience would carry me forward. Talent, experience, and passion is all that mattered.
But, my brain didn't believe it. Who was I kidding? I'm way out of my depth here. This was my first time making a level for this game and it was in a genre I was unfamiliar with.

Thoughts on flashing PostmarketOS onto an old Android OnePlus 6
I flashed PostmarketOS (Phosh) a few days ago onto an old OnePlus 6. Surprised at how functional it is. Enjoyed messing about with SSH & getting things working as I like. Waydroid works really well but defeats the object, so have uninstalled & am relying on browser for many of my needs. That's fine.

AI and Flipped Learning
For any teachers heading back to school next week worried about how to deal with the proliferation of AI use by students at home, you might want to remind yourself about "Flipped Learning"
If student use of AI for homework is making it hard to assess how much learning there has been, then setting classroom style learning tasks for home study may be helpful. The classroom activities can then revolve around homework style tasks and problems, and short assessments, which will be a more reliable method of formative assessment because AI can't be used.

I found this cool web design magazine from 2000!
In 2024, I found an interesting-looking magazine at a local bookstore. It was about the latest web design trends and technologies… from 2000. It showcases such topics as:
* Flash 4
* JS
* WAP ("What is WAP? And why should you excited about it?")
Corny old-school web stuff? In physical format? I couldn't pass on this opportunity, so I bought it!

* Gemini (Primer) links can be opened using Gemini software. It's like the World Wide Web but a lot lighter.
