Google News is getting worse and worse. Google News staff was laid off almost 2 years ago. It's hard to say how many people still work for/on Google News and how much gets properly supervised rather than handled by automated processes. Here's what happens when things go very wrong:

That last slop is particularly funny because a lot goes wrong in the slop image.
This is what Google News, not just search in Google.com (or google.co.uk etc), looks like. Google News is meant to be curated somewhat (or filtered) for credibility and quality. That says a lot about what Google thinks of quality, even in Google News. █
