The Complaint About Brett Wilson LLP - Part II - UK SLAPPs for Americans, SLAPPs for Profit

Solicitors are not ‘hired guns’ says SRA review

In Part I we began tackling the basic premise of the complaint. Today we examine the key evidence that accompanies it and the modus operandi.

There are many letters which were sent to my wife and to me (attachments in their E-mails/reports can demonstrate all the points directly and clearly). My wife and I opened several police cases relating to this between 2023 and 2025, as we had been subjected to crimes and overt abuse. A lot of what we published pertains to such crimes and overt abuse. Some people want this information removed and they send threats to various parties, even predating the SLAPPs. The Police is fully aware of this and it met its threshold for opening about a handful of cases.

Brett Wilson LLP is facilitating a censorship expedition, as evidenced by the letter published here in February (a prominent example). This is classic SLAPP with all the hallmarks of a SLAPP. What makes it even more abusive is the interjection of the second meritless case. The timing and the tactics are very incriminating. We'll cover this in the future again.

It must be noted that these people already abused me for well over a decade. One of them stalked me 24/7 (online), habitually defaming me, harassing me, and sending improper communications to people I know. He has a history of sending me pre-action letters and not acting upon them. He is gaming the system and lying to the system.

Brett Wilson LLP stepped in opportunistically. Their clients, who used them to file SLAPPs, were both sending threatening E-mails to us after being banned from our network for repeated abuses (as outlined above and in Part I). They also sent such threatening E-mails to my wife. One of them said in public that filing a SLAPP would be something "funny" and they talk about one another in public. They clearly coordinate those two SLAPPs. The law firm Brett Wilson LLP is fully aware of - and complicit in - this coordination. According to the Companies House, Brett Wilson LLP is not only shrinking every year (staff number decreases); its debt grows and it has little money left in the bank. See Companies House because its financial state may help explain severe deterioration of standards, even noncompliance with regulations pertaining to professional conduct and legal practices. I spoke to other recipients of their SLAPPs from the same year. More on that later, including in later parts.

What Brett Wilson LLP is doing meets the criteria named in sra.org.uk with direct evidence aplenty being available for each point therein.

My lawyer (on advisory basis only) not only vouches that rules got broken by Brett Wilson LLP but asserts that this is "corporate extortion" (the goal here is to deny my access to Defence funds by adding additional, meritless cases; those aren't arbitrary coincidences) and urged me to report the matter to the SRA urgently, as potent evidence does exist and some of it speaks for itself. The granularity of the evidence depends on how much workload SRA can cope with given limited time assigned to each impending/ongoing case.

Brett Wilson LLP has a track record of this kind. We got contacted by several law firms and NGOs; I spoke to other victims of SLAPPs accommodated by Brett Wilson LLP (which withdrew!). The exact same lawyer, AMH, did this. It looks like he's leaving the firm now. I can prove this. In fact, many other people have left recently, based on public Web pages. They're escalating things to the remaining few.
