Slopwatch: A World Wide Web That's Rotting for Companies That Won't Even Exist in a Few Years
So the so-called "ChatGPT" (BS generator) is looking for more bailouts, having signed a bogus (impossible to fulfil) deal based on money that does not even exist, i.e. the usual from "open" "hey hi".
In the meantime ChatGPT and other LLM garbage spewers destroy the Web. Any day that they exist and serve requests is a net loss for society. It worsens productivity and increases the amount of plagiarism out there.
Then there are former "Linux" sites that go rogue like this one:
Just the latest of many. Slop? Sure. Spam? Also, for sure.
Of course the Serial Slopper does the same right now, based on other people's work:
Another "Linux" site carries on with LLM slop this week:
They just toss in the word "Linux" and the word "Security" for SEO purposes.
Later on Google serves results that are basically slopfarms, optimised to be found when certain words are searched. Google has real problems ahead. Its usefulness is fading away.
Then there's Google News, which was meant to vet sources but does a terrible job at it.
Here's one slopfarm joining the other 2 (sister) slopfarms:
We already showed two almost identical pieces from the same networks of slopfarms. Google News is helping all of them.
Google News has also just promoted this slopfarm:
They're just tossing this new article into an LLM, add a fake image on top, then pretend that an actual person wrote it.
That's just some of the junk Google News is promoting. █
