Almost a Couple of Years After Microsoft Hijacked the Name 'Sudo' (to Describe Unrelated Windows Stuff) Microsoft Canonical Breaks Sudo in Ubuntu
Old:
- Even the Doas Camp is Unhappy About What Microsoft Does to Sudo
- Embrace, Extend, Replace the Original (Or Just Hijack the Word 'Sudo')
Hey, Canonical, is this some kind of a joke?
"Switching the default back to sudo.ws is not recommended..."
As it was put in IRC: "They mean the one that works isn't recommended?"
The Rust People (read: enthusiasts of proprietary development tools of Microsoft) break Ubuntu.
Worse yet, they're causing incompatibilities with other distros, including older versions of Ubuntu.
These are vandals in "goodwill" or "security" clothing.
"That's not rain, sweetheart, that's just Nadella drooling over Rust..." █
