Patent Docs (or PatentDocs) Learned the Wrong Lessons From the Death of TypePad
This week:
They ran from one trap to another:
Patent Docs at TypePad has died. So Patent Docs, the domain, outsourced to WordPress.com. No, it didn't learn from its past mistake. It would be OK if it installed WordPress(.org). Some old posts got imported. Maybe all of them did, but we only checked about a dozen pages going 1-2 years back.
One day WordPress.com will die, just like TypePad did. Then Patent Docs will need to find a new home again, or belatedly export to WordPress "proper".
Had they gone ahead with an SSG, they'd become a lot more future-proof. But they understand software as well as they understand patents on software, i.e. barely at all. █
