Slopwatch: Google News as a Firehose of LLM Slop About "Linux"

Google News is really bad

Today's Slopwatch starts with a site that mentions "Linux" but was crafted by LLMs and then entered Google News. You look for "linux" news and get this:

Totally fake. So is the following from MaK Ulac, which seems like a fake name (same as the generic name above):

And a slopfarm apparently from Italy (it targets "Linux" with fake text and fake images a lot), promoted by Google News:

Finally, Linux Journal had a go at slop as well, taking Fedora Linux 43 Beta articles as training set for the following spew of nonsense:

Who needs real articles, right? Just milk the Linux Journal brand to death by turning its domain into a slopfarm that Google News still syndicates because it used to be a real news site. █
