Tomorrow the Free Software Foundation (FSF) Turns 40 and Its Web Site is Still Slow Due to DDoS by LLM Slop Bots
For an advocacy group, uptime is important (for its message to remain accessible)
The person who fought against the bots (that force some GNU and FSF sites offline) is now the president, lifted by many donors and members.
The anniversary is fast approaching and we plan to focus on the relationship between developers and software patents (which are mostly illegal, but the industry and patent offices seem to not care about the law as long as they can make more money/profit!), starting some time tomorrow, probably morning time.
Many people use Techrights for information about software patents. So we need to write more about the subject. █
