We Are Turning 19 in One Month, FSF Turns 40 in 3 Hours (CET)
Next week the founder of the FSF is giving some talks across Europe (at least two are confirmed already; he lists only one for now), just days after his second baby (unless GNU Emacs counts) turns 40. Maybe GPL is another baby, who knows... he typically calls GNU (the whole GNU Project) his baby.
We'll do our best to cover patent issues to celebrate this occasion. It's a topic we're quite good at covering, and moreover one I am almost always happy to cover personally, having done so for over 20 years (I used to write about it in my personal site). We started earlier today and we'll do more detailed articles throughout the weekend.
Not many sites cover software patents these days (we covered and discussed it internally some hours ago), so any material on the topic would be useful and probably not difficult to find (we don't have much 'competition' in this area).
For our anniversary next month we still have no concrete plans. We'll have a lot to celebrate, probably a great deal of stuff to publish as well. The next few years ought to be productive.
