Slopwatch Appreciated by Real Authors of GNU/Linux Articles

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Oct 08, 2025

This week we are upgrading feed- or RSS-reading software [1, 2, 3]. One rather obnoxious aspect of today's feeds, including Google News, is the LLM slop. "UbuntuPIT stealing articles again," told us one person.

We covered this before in:

It was again mentioned later because there's no sign of it stopping.

"Hey," one author told us, "just a heads up that the [person] from UbuntuPIT is back at it again, stealing everything I write and probably using AI at it..."

"Original work | Stolen post"

"He keeps promoting himself on Reddit with the articles he steals from me, Phoronix, and OMG UBUNTU. P.S. Now I see on Techrights that you are aware of the situation :)"

We do try to keep on top of those things.
