Food Forest Update #6
We just harvsted a large bunch of bananas, our first ever. Much excite! It took 5 months from flower to harvest. It felt like forever but it was worth the wait. We have just tried the first ones and they are very good. They have a different flavor compared to the bananas you buy at a grocery store (in most non-tropical countries at least). It will be interesting to compare these to the other varieties we have planted as they all begin to fruit.
Surprisingly, the same banana clump that produced this bunch is already putting out another flower. In fact it is putting out two flowers! I knew it was growing well but I didn't expect this much production so quickly.

Lost Wages
I'm in the city of Lost Wages, Nevada, again. I'm here tagging along with my wife since she has a convention to work. I don't really have much to do so I have just been hanging out, trying not to spend much money. We both needed to get away, but unfortunately, this is a working trip for her.
We are staying at the MGM Signature. I hear it is nicer than the MGM Grand, across the way. The hotel is more like a high-rise condo in a gated community. There are 3 towers here and the rooms are really nice and spacious, especially for extended stay. The room had 2 bathrooms with 2 showers, jacuzzi tub, separate living room, and a full kitchen with stove, oven, dishwasher, etc. Definitely very comfortable to stay here for extended periods, but a bit overkill for our stay. I still enjoyed it, but unfortunately, my wife did not so much, since she was busy working at the convention for work. So again, I got to enjoy the resort while she was busy with work. Bummer, but not really such a bad thing since I don't really like to interact with her when she is in work mode.

My Ongoing Saga Of Continuing To Use Palm PDAs
Over the last few years I have been using a Palm PDA regularly, switching between daily and a few times a week. For quite a while I was using my Palm M500 daily as my wallet. I had a wallet style case so I had my ID and cards in there and always had it with me. Eventually I switched back to a minimal wallet and just used the M500 a few times a week. Then I acquired a couple new models of Palm to experiment with. First, I got an m515 that was fine but didn't ultimately add any benefits for me. The color screen was actually worse than the m500 grayscale screen because it was much less visible without the backlight on. I passed it along to a friend.
After that I got a Sony Clie PEG-SL10. The draw of the SL10 for me was the higher resolution grayscale screen. While the higher res did look nice it had the same issue of being significantly less visible without the backlight. There were things I liked more about the SL10 but I couldn't get past the screen so after a test period it ended up in the drawer.
A while later I got the Tungsten C that I am writing this post on. It is a much different device than the m500. It certainly has some big upsides but the question was whether it could dethrone the m500?
