Layoffs are getting new names and misleading buzzwords; this one is the latest:

So it turns out everything is OK at Microsoft. It is merely "not a mass retreat from China but a deliberate recalibration" and Microsoft "illustrate how global corporations are adapting to a world where geopolitics increasingly dictates where code gets written and where data can safely reside."

Blah, blah, blah...
