There are some shrewdly-worded articles today trying to 'debunk' what they do not in fact debunk; the reporting is defunct; they actually address or answer claims that almost nobody made. The crude fact is, some of the biggest retailers in the US - seeing that XBox barely sells (and Microsoft loses money on each unit sold) - are understocking or not stocking XBox consoles anymore. Some leap to the conclusion that therefore XBox is dead and then Microsoft says "not true"... at least NOT YET.
No doubt XBox is in trouble and rumours suggest that more mass layoffs are imminent.
Laura Fryer, an original XBox founder, reckons it is a catastrophe. Buying Activision changed nothing. The debt is sky-high. █
