Attacks on Techrights Are Only Making Techrights Bigger and Even More Popular
Imagine being attacked by Microsofters 3 times in the same year [1, 2, 3]. Imagine them attacking the wife as well (simply because she wrote about bullying and hate crimes she had been subjected to). Imagine them openly admitting that some shady/rogue rich person (or persons) funded this assault.
What did they expect would happen?
We've actually increased our output (volume-wise), morale has improved, our community grew, and yesterday we served close to a million requests (counting Gemini as well).
Silencing people or trying to silence people isn't easy. There's moreover a risk of 'Streisand Effect', as we explained earlier this year and last month:
We're not too bothered by the silverbacks who spend all night long (even weekends) thinking about us, plotting how to attack us, and even send goons to take photos of our home (and then share/pass those photos around, which makes one wonder if they know how UK-GDPR works or how English law, in general, works).
Two months ago I said: "Being LIP [Litigant in Person] does not scare me because over a decade ago a friend of mine, who has a disability, told me that for a number of years he studied the law (on his own) and spent years doing well in Court as an LIP."
This friend used to say (maybe a dozen times) "for every action there's a reaction"; in our case, each time the bullies make a wrong or rogue move, that eventually becomes another thing we'll write about, in due course.
A week ago they offered to settle with us, but they need to learn some hard lessons and pay the price for what they did. Two years ago I told their client, publicly: "If you want to sue, be sure to provide a valid address (not your outdated one) so I can sue you and win and perhaps bankrupt you. My case is miles stronger than the fiction and fantasy inside your misaligned head. Before you were lawyering up I had already made my case and openly (in early 2021) alleged you had breached laws while hiding in some shack in another continent."
He lost that shack, he's having financial difficulties now, and based on his tactless public posts he's already in debt. He cannot turn back the clock; his overinflated ego doomed him. █
