Many Red Hat People Are Leaving, But It'll Be Framed Publicly as Leaving IBM
Similarly, IBM layoffs (or "RAs" as they're called) include Red Hat layoffs
Last month we repeatedly explained that to expect "Red Hat layoffs" would be misguided, due mostly to the bluewashing. The Red Hat layoffs would be part of IBM RAs, which include "silent" RAs, e.g. by RTO, relocation, PIPs and so on. They compel people to leave on their own or "get the message"...
If this blurb is true, IBM is also laying off management. The message contains racist overtones, so we don't want to reproduce portions of it.
Nevertheless, we've just noticed the following in Microsoft's LinkedIn:
Notice how "Red Hat" is just mentioned further down, even if Red Hat is where this person spent several (6+) years before the "bluewashing":
The bluewashing happened about 3 years after IBM had announced it would buy Red Hat.
The bottom line is, do not focus or watch out for "Red Hat layoffs"; it's IBM now.
"I am excited about the new opportunity!" said the above person, but no such opportunity is specified (yet), so maybe for now it is unemployment.
IBM is very good at driving people out.
No discourtesy meant/intended (to the person above), we just needed an example to explain what is happening and will be happening. █
