Slopwatch: Google News and Slopfarms That Relay Nonsense From LLMs
Tonight's Slopwatch is short because it has not been long since the last installment.
Watch what the pseudonym in LinuxSecurity has just unleashed. It's not written by a human, the images are fake, and it's just some bland mix of words:
Searching for "linux" in Google News this afternoon, there's this pair of connected slopfarms flinging FUD at "linux" and it's not even the fault of Linux. Not that LLMs would understand this*.
Notice the titles, which are almost identical:
Google News, which once prioritised or used to care about provenance and quality, is feeding slopfarms. █
