EPO Cocaine Chronicles: Our Aim Will be to Ensure This Becomes a Mainstream Media Topic, Not a Suppressed Scandal (Which the German State Deems Embarrassing and Detrimental to Its Pan-European Patent Franchise)
Last month we stepped in a scandal [1, 2] after a top-level EPO official and close friend of António Campinos had engineered his own scandal by using cocaine "too openly" at Oktoberfest (he got caught by German police). This reaffirmed longstanding rumours and suspicions of widespread substance abuse - notably cocaine - by EPO management. This isn't a new story to us; we're heard this plenty of times for over 5 years already. Insiders heard and saw things.
The challenge will be to convince German media to stop hiding the scandal's obvious connection to Europe's largest patent office, which is based in Germany and serves as a "cash cow" of the German state.
If the media refuses to cover this as an EPO scandal, then it'll also become a media scandal.
This cocaine user already has a history of distributing EPO funds to media in exchange for silence and docility (we've covered many examples). In other words, there's a scandal within a scandal here.
At the EPO, and perhaps in German media as well, people "fall upwards" (they get rewarded for bad things). █
