IBM's CEO Already Has the Excuse for the Latest Wave of Mass Layoffs
Because of PIPs and other loopholes the scale of layoffs will get misportrayed, too
Many IBM layoffs will be reported today and tomorrow (staff will speak to other staff). Panic inside the company. The media? Schtum.
Only days ago the CEO told a bunch of nonsense - i.e. the usual - to the corporate press about "AI".
Notice how he - like so many others - would name-drop buzzwords to distract from his failure (a commercial failure). "Oh! It must be AI! All those layoffs are inevitable...... because of some mindless buzzwords..."
The mainstream media has become so utterly shallow. It quickly becomes part of the problem as it profits from participating in the problem. █
