Search @ Techrights: Almost There Now (Maybe an Anniversary Gift)
This week we've had an opportunity to ask another person to consider an audit of the back-end code for Search @ Techrights.
Just to be very clear, search would not be unprecedented at Techrights. We've had search right from the very beginning (2006 with MySQL in WordPress), but the site has changed a lot since then and so has the Web, where parasitic bots are now causing problems for a lot of Web sites, even the FSF's. We don't want to go back to the days of being vulnerable to DDoS attacks.
Techrights postponed the launch in hope of greater stability and polish. Maybe Search @ Techrights will "go live" some time later this week, perhaps before the anniversary or the same day as the anniversary (Friday). █
