We Turned Down Every Settlement Offer Because Truths Aren't Determined in Bank Accounts
Since the SLAPPs began in early 2024 we've received many offers to 'settle' (more than we can recall), including at least 2 last week. But lawsuits are meant to be lodged based on merit, not as "mostly funny" stunts and/or means of leverage by threats of considerable (prospective) costs. My mouth isn't "for sale" and truth isn't "negotiable". Even if people spend a million bucks lawyering up after repeatedly begging me and making complaints against several webhosts and ISPs (they always sided with me!) I will insist that due process is a thing and free, democratic societies should follow protocols and procedures, not "report to Twitter" (Elon Musk's ego and ideological/commercial objectives).
Over the years the site issued corrections and amendments. Provided those were made in good faith, not intimidation, not baselessly, not for the sole purpose of hurting me (or hurting my family members to "get at me"). What happened in recent years - since 2021 at least - has emboldened me to carry on and waste less time in social control media. Without free press, there won't be free society.
Yesterday marked 7 months since my Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) complaint. It's still ongoing. The principal assertion has since been proven in cross-examination. The law firm repeatedly defamed me (name-calling) for making this assertion, among others (the parties are connected and funded by third parties; they admit so themselves now). They should know privacy and defamation law well enough to not do this to me; instead they're double-dipping the media this week, planting ads in 'article' form. █
