Shrinking and Cheapening the Workforce: the Future of Red Hat and IBM
Hours ago, both in IBM Canada:
CBC News, Canada's national broadcaster, recently reported that "Canada's economy shrank by 0.3% in August" and it's not because of the US with its tariffs. We recently mentioned IBM layoffs in the US and Canada, noting those layoffs were not limited to these two countries, with "layoffs reported in Brazil, Mexico and India on Friday," as somebody put it hours ago. Remember that Red Hat was started by a Canadian (Young), and we saw layoffs impacting Red Hat last week. It's becoming like another Cognos.
A few days ago a Canadian law firm which targets IBM's laid-off staff mentioned Red Hat:

We saw some people this month and last month stating that their Red Hat internships had ended. Then, hours ago:
Well, internships - as unpaid of low-paid positions - aren't the same as job per se. Does Red Hat cheapen the workforce? █
