IBM Will Carry on or Carry Out Mass Layoffs Until Tomorrow, Based on Unverified Claim (Silent Layoffs Under Secrecy Clauses/Deals)
"Yes," said one person (topic being "RAed and relieved"), "me too I felt the morale was so low and everyone constantly worried about next RA. Now that it happened I am glad to be gone soon, had enough of this long slide of decline and weirdness." 5 hours ago by anonymous poster: "that was me one year ago. Now Retired and loving it. Good luck. Feel bad for the others not in our shoes."

Claim That IBM Has Another 8 Days to Lay Off 'Expensive' Staff
Tomorrow it is a Friday and also apparently the "last day" for IBM to notify staff of redundancies ("RAs"), as after that it's too close to Christmas. Earlier today we recalled how layoffs were said to be happening earlier this week. Red Hat is also impacted, but headcount figures are elusive. HR officials (top-level managers) at IBM know, but they keep their cards close to their chest and some departures are falsely portrayed as voluntary [1, 2].
It's very difficult to assess how many people were terminated in Red Hat or made to leave Red Hat this month. They do so quietly:
That was last year. They tried to keep quiet about it. IBM's bluewashing of Red Hat means that Red Hat (as a "company" with a Web site) will probably never announce layoffs again. █
