Google Admits It Lost Control of Slop (While Google Itself is Selling Slop, Currently Under the Name "Gemini" Instead of "Bard")

Google now openly acknowledges this problem exists, but Google is also (at the same time) contributing to this problem. Hours ago in Slopwatch we said Google News had become rubbish.

This Press Gazette report, dated Wednesday, suggests Google is aware of this problem, but what is it going to do about it?

Worse yet, Press Gazette also promoted slop last year [1, 2] and earlier this year (not so much lately).

Slop is nothing to be celebrated. It's an abomination, not innovation. █
