The claims that seemed plausible at the time said that today is IBM's "last chance" to RA people (until year's end). Because... holidays and all.

Like Google With "Summer of Code", this seems like a low-cost marketing stunt more than anything substantial and, since he's still a student at CentraleSupélec, they've made him "Algorithm Engineering Intern @IBM" or "Quantum Algorithm Engineering Intern". Now it's time to go.

Well, Quantum "@IBM" is still mostly vapourware; the CEO uses it to mislead shareholders. Fewer than 1% of those shareholders know something about QC; IBM prefers it that way! They'll believe anything! █
