Many IBM Workers to Become Unemployed a Few Weeks - Maybe Just Days - Before Christmas
IBM, being an American company ("on paper" anyway), still has some boundaries, moral considerations of sorts. Christmas means something to it, so it'll likely refrain from RAs with "effect" shortly before Christmas.
Many people said they would become unemployed (notified by IBM or put "on notice") some time in early December.
This was less than an hour ago:
"Linux" and "Red Hat" mentioned there, but this isn't bluewashing:
The RAs also impact Red Hat and quite a few people said they had been canned this past Friday (yesterday).
"Those LinkedIn praises read like a darn joke book," somebody said, "nothing but lies and untruths. IBM is a trash dump and it's management treat employees like disposable Kleenex or toilet paper. Correct me if I am wrong about this."
It is choreographed. They want severance payments. So as one last humiliating exercise IBM pimps/trots them out in social control media, telling "happy" stories. █
