IBM is Vanishing (First Moving, Then Going Away Completely)
Salary reduction is only the first step

The future of IBM is words on paper and buzzwords. That's about it. Oh, legacy customers are drifting away, so IBM cannot rely on these for decades to come.
As "just a note," one person has just told us in IRC, "the IBM office near the clinic here that always seemed empty is now a Cannon office."
This person meant Canon (Japan).
Over a decade ago as part of my job I visited a former IBM building about 100 miles south from us, and also not too far from Birmingham. I visited the place for about 3 days in a row. It was a former IBM building with many signs of its roots, but it wasn't owned by IBM and there were no IBM employees anymore.
IBM is a dinosaur company that calls the people who ran the still-functional IBM "dinobabies".
The joke at IBM goes, if you pay people peanuts, all you'll get is monkeys. █
