The Register MS: Slop is "FOMO" (Fear of Missing Out), FOMO is Funding Us
Gee, if only we knew who's driving this fear, right? The fear of "missing out"...

"Talk the talk" and "walk the walk"? Not the same thing. Walking is harder than talking, especially when you are morbidly obese.
The Register MS keeps bagging pounds (the money, not weight) to prop up the Ponzi scheme of "AI".
Then, habitually, it'll admit that it's not even "AI" but a bunch of crock corporations ask The Register MS to stuff into fake and/or shallow articles. Sometimes composed by "shadow staff".
Heck, even former management (Editor in Chief of The Register MS) admitted to me it was aware of this issue.
There used to be online campaigns that sought to imperil the advertising industry or the media - i.e. its sinister 'twin' - to "stop sponsoring hate" (the slogan or motto was usually "Stop Funding Hate"); we need to do the same for slop. █
Imagine if such a campaign did in fact exist...
