Writing about your life
I've thought for a long time about writing about my life and I have to a certain extent, but I'm usually anxious about how my writing about my experience will make others feel (family members, people from past chapters, etc). That typically drives me towards places like this, sharing from behind a pseudonym. But that tends to become disjointed or feel detached from reality, and like I can't share it with people I know for fear that they would be insulted. Somehow it just occurred to me that I could write the stories, but abstract them away from reality a bit... I could be the author, and I could rename the main character, then I could base the stories on my life, but sidestep some of the awkwardness by claiming it's fictional. Ugh... I hate this loop. But at least I'm writing something, right?

My First Game for the Playdate - FlatCube
After picking up the PlayDate about 2 months ago, I wanted to build something for it. Well, my first completed project for it is done! This is my annoying 3x3x3 twisty puzzle game "FlatCube"! Have you ever wanted to solve a Rubik's cube but only wanted to ever be able to look at 1 side? Have you ever wanted to solve a Rubik's cube, but you aren't allowed to turn the back side of the cube? Have you ever thought "I totally wish I couldn't rotate the whole cube"? Have you ever wanted your Rubik's cube to assign a random color scheme after every scramble? Well, FlatCube is here for you!

Extra keyboard shortcuts
I use keyboard shortcuts.
I wanted to document some of the ones I add to my programs, if only because I need to recreate them from time to time.
When making macOS shortcuts, Iâm going to prefer ââ„ as the prefix. Why? Because thatâs the VoiceOver shortcut. Neither Apple nor other apps use it. And if I do go blind and need VoiceOver, Iâll have bigger fish to fry in the transition than worrying about a measly keyboard shortcut.

Re: why desktop linux is growing
This is a reply to NP89's post[1] about why the Linux desktop is growing.
I think he's right in his opinion that the big OSs don't serve the user as much as they did in the past and invest more in spying on the user and doing *whatever* in the background without the users knowledge. That's why more powerful Laptops/Desktops are still developed, to manage the whole background processes which Windows and MacOS steadily introduce.
But he's also right in his opinion that the desktop/Laptop market is shrinking.
It seems like people don't want to write longer, more creative texts anymore. They just want to surf the web and send short text messages with Twitter or WhatsApp with their small smartphone devices. If they do, I don't care, although I would like to see more people writing longer form texts at best at a Gemini Capsule or in a Gopher Hole.

uBlock Origin
You all use uBlock Origin? Good. Today I saw a post by @lichen@bananachips.club with the following uBlock Origin rules to get rid of AI stuff when using GitHub. Love it.
