The new comments below suggest that "IBM Research" is a lot like "Microsoft Research" - basically marketing disguised as science:

IBM's Common Stock is down 8% in the past 5 days, but it's still massively overinflated by buzzwords and false promises. IBM is misleading shareholders. It keeps talking about "quantum" and slop/LLMs, even while they miserably fail to accurately explain IBM layoffs. █
