EPO: Turning Our Attention to Spain and the "Alicante Mafia" of António Campinos
Days ago we mentioned what EPO insiders call "the Mafia" or the "Alicante Mafia" of António Campinos. They correctly recognise the rapid migration of the 'Campinos clique' and in turn friends or relatives of that clique. The suitability for the job just isn't there and the qualifications are patently lacking, which means that EPO jobs (and salaries) are in effect being sold. This is corruption.
That the matter must be dealt with seriously is beyond doubt, no matter if there's cocaine in the "Alicante Mafia" (there is).
The EPO will be impossible to salvage and the longer this goes on for, the more fake (invalid, incompatible with the law) patents will get granted, with some ending up in courts or being used for coercion (under threat of taking disputes to courts, even kangaroo courts like UPC).
This coming week we'll focus our attention on Spain and Spanish media. The findings will relate to the media, not just the EPO itself. █
