Slopfarms Work All Year Long, With Fake IBM News Spread Irrationally and Mindlessly
All the images (see the screenshot below) are slop and there is vapourware with buzzwords:
We've already responded to this creative storytelling (promises about 2030, by which point nobody will remember these promises)
Having just mentioned "Bluewashing" and the Red Hat layoffs, consider the above vapourware from a site that extensively uses slop. We stopped checking that site for news [1, 2]. We're again reminded why.
"The Thanksgiving holiday is coming up in the US this week," someone has told us. "Expect IBM and others to try to sneak out unfavorable announcements on Friday."
"And speaking of Friday," he has added, "it will be when International Buy Nothing Day is observed globally."
Well, news will be EVEN slower this week, owing in part to what's left of newsrooms being on holidays, at least in the US. We'll take advantage of the relative calm to get other stuff done. █
