Massachusetts Institute of Theft (MIT) Nowadays in the Business of Selling SPAM to Prop Up Fashionable Pyramid Schemes
Yes, they're at it again:
A few years ago we began seeing MIT 'tapping onto' a new revenue source: online spam, e.g. for Microsoft [1, 2].
There is nothing benign about it, more so when they misuse the MIT brand to lend credibility to elaborate schemes or scams. Many people will lose a lot of money from this scam.
As we put it earlier today in IRC (in relation to the "AI" gold rush), "Microsoft: gold is poo, we want more GPUs that we don't even use!! Microsoft: we are 'worth' 4,000 billion dollars because we have 10 billion in the bank, 120 billion in debt, and a big pile of GPUs that we don't even use!!"
We've dubbed this "the 21st century's alchemy". MIT is selling alchemy as an honourable science. The founders of MIT must be twisting and turning in their graves. █
