The Fate of "Blockchains" and "Metaverse" as a Sign of Things to Come for Slop ("AI")

"Metaverse", right?
It's the future. For sure!
Facebook, after it rebranded as "Meta" (due to the former brand becoming toxic and vapourware being imperative), kept paying large publishers to tell us "Metaverse" was the future, inevitable, and it was time to "invest in it" (fear of missing out!).
Soon, even Microsoft started "investing in" this "Metaverse". Mostly "VR" rebranded with new marketing gimmicks.
Years later, as we noted here before, Microsoft sacked all the "Metaverse" people and shut down its "Metaverse" initiatives.
Sounds familiar?
Remember "Blockchains"?
Remember how IBM said it had championed "Blockchains"?
Well, the same CEO who used to shout from rooftops about "Blockchains" no longer mentions the words he once did. He wants people to forget what he said and instead focus on "AI" and "quantum".
Doesn't that tell us a lot about the modus operandi of these companies? █
