They Won't Tell You This ("Revolution Won't Be Televised"), But the Slop Bubble Already Burst
Yesterday: The "Cut 10,000 Jobs" Clickbait and Microsoft Sites Now Speculating That Microsoft CEO Has Just Signalled More Mass Layoffs | OpenAI Traffic Collapsing (for 3 Months in a Row About 20% Down Per Month), Bankruptcy Likely Soon
We are seeing, firsthand, a collapse in adoption and usage of LLMs. We already wrote about it twice this morning [1, 2] and it's only 7AM here. Whatever they tell you about the future of slop or about the future being slop is wishful thinking nonsense and an attempt at self-fulfilling prophecies (to game or fabricate "demand" using "FOMO" tactics).
From what I can gather, David Gerard, Cory Doctorow and many others (before CEOs and Wall Street bigwigs said the same) were right; LLM slop and other forms of slop haven't a future. The media, which gets paid to pretend otherwise, isn't ready to admit that. █
