Claim That Finance and HR at IBM Already Work on the Next Wave of IBM Layoffs, Media Silence Persists
"More layoffs in 1Q the Finance and HR goblins are already working on the lists," somebody wrote about IBM 8 hours ago (also see Claims of More IBM Layoffs a Week Before 'Christmas Week')
IBM, which owns and runs Red Hat (making it proprietary after getting a lot of labour from unpaid volunteers), is in a terrible state.
Looking at recent discussions about IBM, insiders advise colleagues to leave if they can and for others not to explore joining [1, 2, 3, 4]. IBM was once so giant that a court needed to intervene, but right now IBM is just a glorified old brand selling mediocrity and mediaocracy. It's also marketing and reselling GAFAM.
The media is still telling misleading nonsense about IBM layoffs (like some fantasy about 'rehiring' thousands for "AI"). It makes no effort to actually investigate anything, it just parrots the unscrupulous CEO [1, 2]. It's miles worse than it was back in the "Boycott Novell" days. █
