As each day passes society gets more combative, real security/privacy proponents get painted as "k00ks" or "perverts", and technology becomes more hostile in the sense that it gives full control to the "powerful few" over everybody else. It's not just Apple anymore but GAFAM (see above) and installing/using your own software is demonised as "sideloading" and is thus vocationally a "KKKop" (forbidden). This is a "boiling the frog" pendulum scenario. Soon, American monopolists will leverage this kind of power internationally.

What can possibly go wrong? (Aside from those companies making false accusations against perceived "enemies")

To confront this trend and the people who push in this direction avoid GAFAM and insist on Free software. █
