A couple of months ago I saw someone who almost refused to talk for himself. He chose not to and when the Court compelled him to it was a total disaster for him and his (rather young and inexperienced/inexpensive, even dishonest) Barrister openly admitted it may have traumatised him - to the point where he sought compensation for simply being cross-examined or interrogated as per the correct, proper protocols. The Judge acknowledged that I was courteous throughout the whole process and commended us (my wife and I) for seriousness, professionalism etc.
One day we'll write about all this in great depth (of course I'm permitted to! It is a matter of public interest), but what was truly revealing - to me at least - was:
- They seem very envious of the sort of traffic we attract and receive - to the point of attempting to smugly use it as an argument against us.
- It truly pisses them off that we throw anniversary bashes; well, you know what they say - people who lack a social life and have no social skills loathe or envy those who do.
- Criticism of any kind is not tolerated, even when it is based on simple truths, including public statement from oneself.
- Women are "scary"; apparently having to speak to women (face to face) is unbearable - there seems to be a rejection of the very concept of a woman (which isn't quite the same as being an incel).
As readers are probably well aware, there are efforts to silence and censor us (not the same thing, censor means the past, silencing is more about self-censorship in the future), even extrajudicially. We'll try to be transparent about it. They say that without transparency there cannot be justice because justice must be seen (by the public) to be verified/believed/assured.
Generally speaking, each gagging attempt merely results in more controversy or another potential scandal to be explained/exposed in the future. Those actions don't scale well. We are resourceful and knowledgeable of the law. NGOs will protect us, as they have for a long time. █
