Decline in LLM Slop About "Linux" is a Good Start for 2026
As noted earlier, our series about LLM slop (which tracks the principal culprits) died in 2025 due to a significant decrease in relevant observations. I've only just checked (manually, no RSS feeds) some offending sites and they're either inactive or produce slop about slop, not about "Linux".
There are some slopfarms today (recent hours also*) that say "AI" isn't a bubble - or something worded to that effect (slop need not make sense!). They refer to slop, not any form of AI, and they're not even composed by a human being but by LLMs (which in effect promote themselves).
When the only remaining proponents of slop are slop, which is pretty much what's happening right now, the bubble is popping. █
