Red Hat and IBM Layoffs, Staff Kept Quiet About it, WARN Act Skirted/WARN Notices Avoided
In recent minutes/hours:
How IBM hides what's truly going on, based on this hours-old comment:
IBM is still cutting things (including facility shutdowns), still 'chopping' people or chopping off their hopes/ambitions. One brave person (above) openly says the departure is involuntary, i.e. it was RAs.
"They signed the right to sue away," somebody said yesterday in another thread (regarding age discrimination). "But it’s not legally enforceable in the courts."
"A few years ago there were some legal cases backing up the rights of the former employees and confirming that many of those clauses were invalid," said an associate.
See, IBM uses HR tricks to hide what's really happening and then tries to keep staff quiet using NDAs and legally-dubious waivers of all sorts.
What a terrible company to be in. █
