GNU/Linux Rising to 5% in Cameroon and It's Hardly the Exception
In Cameroon, one of Africa's larger countries (about the same size as Kenya), GNU/Linux rose to an all-time high this year, just like in the rest of the continent (in Nigeria, for example, Windows has fallen amid Microsoft mass layoffs and closures; it's a rapid fall).
GNU/Linux is up in Ethiopia, in Egypt, and in other very large countries. It's measured at 3% in Mali and 3% in Niger. Exceeding 7% in Burkina Faso...
Maybe the upcoming Microsoft layoffs are due to a collapse of "core" businesses. "AI" is just a smokescreen [1, 2] as losses pile up. █
