After the LLM Slop Frenzy...
Google News hasn't yielded any obvious LLM slop about "Linux" for nearly 2 days now, so that's a positive thing for sure. It does, however, produce or boost a lot of fake news about Microsoft denying mass layoffs (nope, Microsoft never denied these) and the lion's share of this fake news has come from slopfarms.
In RSS feeds we only found one example of LLM slop about "Linux" - merely recycled trash from a pseudonym:
The Serial Slop is making slop about slop, but for the first time in a while he made slop about something "Linux":
Maybe the Web or people on the Web will gradually (eventually?) figure out a way to separate the wheat from the slop.
In every way, slop is no better than spam, one might argue that it's just another form of spam (disguised better). █
