So When Will British Politicians, Police, Government Departments Quit Twitter (X.com)?
It's possible, based on several press reports in BillBC, that existing proposals will advance to the point where Twitter gets blocked in the UK (like in other very large countries). Failing that, will public figures and institutions divest or completely remove themselves from that platform? If not, why not?
See, social control media in general is a losing business. Unless it works for some regime (like CPC), it's not going to pay off and certainly not pay. In almost its entire existence Twitter lost money; it made money only a few times, temporarily, when it squeezed the goose (ads and worse), but the debt kept rising. Now that Twitter is owned by a racist broligarch he's trying to reuse the platform as slop platform. It didn't work, it hasn't worked, and it won't work. He tried the same on Wikipedia (mimicking what already existed for decades, a right-leaning Wikipedia, "Conservapedia"). Now, as all hope it lost (massive losses in both slop/xAI and X.com), he turns Twitter into a very large non-consensual porn site, including child porn/erotica.
Like the Convicted Cheeto, he simply assumes that child porn is OK (or a joke, "HAHA!") because he's rich. He wants to start charging money to privately produce nonsensical 'jokes' and non-consensual child porn.
In a functioning country (or world), he'd be immediately arrested.
Ask your public officials, if they use the site, what their stance is on the trajectory of the site? Are they tolerating this? They sure bring constituents there (by being there). █
