Reminder That Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Is Not Free, And It's Because of IBM

RHEL is not Free software. In 2023 the FSF was asked to comment on this. Someone at the FSF said that the FSF would comment on it. But the FSF never did. A very long time later a low-key statement was made by the FSF. It wasn't an official statement or formal stance.

So we generally discourage the adoption of RHEL. It's a pusher of slop, both internally and externally. IBM has a bubble to inflate for Wall Street; software freedom just 'gets in the way'. █
